I drew out the lines for the windows and then added a frosting on some of the panes to create the window effect.
Here are the trees in process. The trunks were laid in first, then taped so they wouldnt get covered, then the tree colors were rolled in with sponge rollers.
Fluting added to the wood with the watercolor style. Also shows the watercolor fireplace I also painted.

This is the finished floor. I made the stencils myself for the actors to know where to be during musical numbers.
Beginning of our floor process
Process photos, each piece was based in light brown and then covered with watered down reds and browns.

Floor Process Photos:
The Floor consisted of two different worlds, the "rock and roll" world that was on the outside where the children could react to what was happening to them. The inside was wood paneling that was white, but the paint had been worn away by the years. This was the "real" world where the main action of the musical takes place.
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Assistant Charge Scenic Artist
For the production of Rocky Horror the scenery was based with a black and brown wet blending technique and we added metallic high lights and rust colors to create the "steam punk" look. I helped run paint call and oversee student volunteers and practicum students.
Big Love
Assistant Charge Scenic Artist
For the production of Big Love, I layed out the stone groundwork on the floor, fountain, and benches. I also added the texture on the white walls in the background along with overseeing students in practicum hours and during paint calls.

For this production we mixed the paint with jaxsan so that it had a thick texture. It was a lot to paint, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
