Cymbeline
Scenic Artist, Properties Designer
For our production of Cymbeline by William Shakespeare, Kmiec decided to set the Shakespearian production in the world of the Great Depression and told by a young girl living out of a make-shift tent with her family. In doing so, all of the scenic elements were fit to the Great Depression era and all of the properties used were "found objects" that the girl could have found among her family's possessions to tell the story of Cymbeline.
A character is the Greek God Jupiter, who's famous symbols are the lightning bolt and the bald eagle. This is a "found object" bald eagle staff that I made.

The Taming of the Shrew
Scenic Artist, Properties
For our production of The Taming of the Shrew, Director Kershner chose to set the Shakespearian play in the world of early 20th century Vaudeville. The production took place outdoors on the Sweet Briar campus.
